The rehabilitation and upgrade of the iconic Warri Township Stadium has reached 75 percent completion, marking significant progress in the transformation of one of Delta State’s most historic sporting facilities.

The ongoing project, driven by the administration of Sheriff Oborevwori, is aimed at restoring the stadium to modern standards and strengthening sports development across the state.

Officials say work has advanced steadily across key sections of the complex, including structural upgrades, improved sporting facilities, and modernization of supporting infrastructure. The project forms part of the state government’s broader effort to reposition Delta as a hub for sports and youth engagement.
