Laide Bakare, the Nigerian actress, has announced plans for a third marriage.

Despite having been married twice previously, the actress described the upcoming union as her “first official” marriage.

Speaking in a recent interview with Mr LilGaGa, the movie star said preparations are already underway for the wedding.

“I will soon be getting married, officially, for the first time ever,” she said.

Bakare, however, did not disclose the identity of her fiancé or the date of the ceremony.

In November 2023, a video she shared showing a proposal sparked speculations about an impending wedding, drawing congratulatory messages from fans.

However, Bakare later clarified that the man in the video is her co-star and the scene was filmed for the movie ‘Oko Laide’.

Bakare, 45, was previously married to Olumide Okunfulure, an American-based businessman from Ondo state.

Although their union ended, it produced a daughter named Simi.
She also has two sons with Mutairu Orilowo, her second husband.

However, the details surrounding the end of the marriage to Orilowo are largely unknown to the public.

Bakare began her acting career in 1999 with the movie dubbed ‘Adeyemi’.

She has since featured in several Nollywood productions and earned accolades for her craft.
