Civic participation remains a vital pillar of governance and development in Delta State, as residents are being encouraged to take advantage of the upcoming Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.
The registration portal is scheduled to reopen on May 4 and will run until August, marking the final phase of the voter registration process ahead of future elections.
The exercise, organised by the Independent National Electoral Commission, provides an opportunity for eligible citizens who have not registered, those who have relocated, or individuals who need to update their voter details to do so.
In line with the commitment of Sheriff Oborevwori to inclusive governance under the MORE Agenda, residents of Delta State are encouraged to utilise the window to complete their registration.
The initiative is aimed at strengthening civic engagement and ensuring that more citizens are duly captured in the electoral process, enabling them to actively participate in choosing their leaders and shaping the democratic future of the state.
Stakeholders have stressed that registering to vote remains one of the most effective ways citizens can contribute to governance and development, urging all eligible residents to take part before the August deadline.
