President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has openly declared his bid for a second term in office come 2027, insisting he will contest and win the election.


Speaking during a meeting with APC leaders and Renewed Hope Ambassadors, the President dismissed what he described as a coordinated plot by political opponents and former allies to force him out of power using the nation’s security challenges.


“They tried to get rid of me, but I refused to go. I am a very stubborn politician,” Tinubu said. “I will campaign for my second term, and I will win.”


He further accused some rivals of exploiting insecurity across the country to undermine his administration and push their own political interests.


The declaration signals the official beginning of President Tinubu’s re-election campaign as political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections intensify.
