Security operatives have recorded significant breakthroughs in ongoing efforts to combat crime, with the arrest of 15 suspects linked to cultism, armed robbery, and kidnapping across Delta State.

The coordinated operations, carried out in Oko Community, Ughelli, and along the Benin–Asaba Expressway, also led to the recovery of dangerous weapons and other incriminating items. Recovered exhibits include two AK-47 rifles, one Beretta pistol, 69 rounds of live ammunition, quantities of illicit drugs, and cash suspected to be proceeds of criminal activities.

Authorities say the operations were intelligence-driven and form part of sustained efforts to dismantle criminal networks and enhance public safety across the state.

Security officials have reaffirmed their commitment to protecting lives and property, noting that investigations are ongoing to uncover additional suspects and collaborators. Residents have also been urged to remain vigilant and provide timely information that could aid security agencies in their operations.

The latest development highlights continued momentum in the fight against crime, particularly along major transit routes and identified hotspots within the state.
