Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has approved new supervisory arrangements in the State Executive Council following the resignation of two commissioners from his cabinet.
Under the new arrangement, the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Community and Social Development, Princess Pat Ajudua, will oversee the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Community Support Services and Girl Child Development.
Similarly, the Commissioner for Housing, Godknows Angele, has been directed to supervise the Ministry of Youth Development pending further directives from the state government.
The announcement was contained in a statement issued on Friday by the Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) and Public Information, Charles Aniagwu.
According to the statement, the changes became necessary following the resignation of the Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Community Support Services and Girl Child Development, Orode Uduaghan, and the Commissioner for Youth Development, ThankGod Harry Trakiriowei.
The two former commissioners reportedly stepped down from their positions to pursue political ambitions ahead of the 2027 general elections.
