Arsenal have emerged as the 2025-26 Premier League champions after second-placed Manchester City failed to beat Bournemouth in a crunch game on Tuesday night.

Trailing by five points, Manchester City needed a win over Bournemouth to keep hopes alive until the final day of the season on Sunday.

But a Junior Kroupi’s superb goal in the 38th minute gave the hosts the lead before Erling Haaland pegged back late to end the game at 1-1.

With the reault, Bournemouth secured their place in Europe as they climb to sixth in the table, and leaders Arsenal become Premier League champions for the first time since 2004.

Tuesday’s result leaves Mikel Arteta’s men four points clear of City before the final round of games take place on Sunday, with the Gunners set to lift the trophy at Crystal Palace.

Bournemouth have now extended their unbeaten run to 17 matches, and will play in Europe next season.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola has announced that he will leave the club at the end of this season. Something that is also being said of City boss Pep Guardiola.

Manchester City have also had a fine season, having won the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup.
