2027: GRV Emerges ADC Gubernatorial Candidate

Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour (GRV), has emerged as the gubernatorial candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) after defeating his closest rival, Silas, in the party’s primary election.

GRV secured a total of 12,948 votes to clinch the party’s ticket, while Silas polled 6,183 votes in the keenly contested exercise.

Speaking shortly after his victory was announced, Rhodes-Vivour expressed gratitude to party members and supporters for their overwhelming support and confidence in his leadership.

“I want to sincerely thank every supporter who rallied around this movement and came out en masse to vote. This victory belongs to all of us who believe in a better future,” he said.

The ADC candidate noted that the journey towards transforming the state had only just begun, urging party faithful and residents to remain united ahead of the governorship election.

“The work has only just begun. Together, we will continue to build a movement that represents hope, progress and accountable leadership for our people,” GRV added.

The primary election drew party stakeholders and supporters from across the state, with observers describing the exercise as peaceful and transparent.
