“Terrorists Are Already In Lagos, Ban Okada, Beggars, Wheelbarrow Pushers Now” – Primate Ayodele Warns

The Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has called on the Lagos State Government to impose a total ban on commercial motorcyclists, popularly known as Okada riders, across the state, citing what he described as rising security threats.

Speaking during a church service in a video shared on social media, the cleric warned that Lagos could face serious security risks if urgent preventive measures are not taken. He alleged that criminal elements could exploit commercial motorcycles to carry out attacks, urging authorities to act swiftly.

According to him, the presence of Okada riders, along with other informal street operators, should be restricted as part of broader efforts to strengthen security in the state.

Primate Ayodele further called for stricter enforcement actions, including the removal of beggars and informal cart pushers from the streets, arguing that they could pose potential risks if not properly regulated. He also suggested the creation of a special task force to enforce such measures.

He stated that failure to act decisively could expose Lagos to heightened insecurity, adding that similar threats could spread to neighbouring states if not addressed.
