The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has declared that the party is poised to win the upcoming Osun State governorship election scheduled for August 15, 2026.

Speaking at the inauguration of the APC National Campaign Council, Yilwatda insisted that “nothing will stop the APC from taking over the Government House this August,” stressing that the party’s political structure and capacity remain unmatched.

He described the Osun poll as a crucial step in the APC’s preparations for the 2027 general elections, expressing confidence that the party’s candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), would secure victory.

Yilwatda further revealed that APC governors, National Assembly members, local government chairmen, and other stakeholders would be mobilised to ensure success at the ballot.

He emphasised that grassroots engagement across Osun State would be intensified to rally voter support.

The APC chairman maintained that the party remains Nigeria’s strongest political force and is strategically positioned to reclaim power in Osun.
