Katsina state government has announced its readiness on the possibilities of salary increment to workers in January 2027 .
Comrade Tanimu Saulawa, special adviser on Labour Matters made the announcement while addressing journalists shortly after his appearance before the 2027 Budget Committee at old Government House, Katsina.
He said the state government is finalising arrangements to implement a new minimum wage for civil servants as part of efforts to improve workers’ welfare, saying, “the new minimum wage structure would take effect next year”.
