Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has dismissed reports linking Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford with a summer move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr to reunite with former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.

Speculation over Rashford’s future has continued since he returned to Manchester United following the expiration of his loan spell at Barcelona, with reports suggesting Al-Nassr were interested in signing the England international.

However, speaking on his YouTube channel on Wednesday, Romano said there was no truth to the rumours.

“In the last 24 hours on social media, many rumours on Al-Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo’s team, the champions of Saudi trying to sign Marcus Rashford from Manchester United. Guys, let me clarify one thing,” Romano said.

According to the Italian transfer expert, Rashford is not considering a move to Saudi Arabia and would only leave Old Trafford if a top European club makes a suitable offer.

He stated, “According to my information, Rashford is not leaving Manchester United this summer, in case of proposals that are coming from these kinds of countries.

“Marcus Rashford eventually would only leave Man United if a top European club arrives and puts big money on the table for Man United, because you still need to agree with Man Utd. The release clause is no longer valid.”

Rashford’s future has remained a subject of intense speculation throughout the transfer window, but Romano’s latest comments suggest the 28-year-old is focused on either staying at Manchester United or securing a move to another elite European club rather than heading to the Saudi Pro League.
