More than a year after a man was shot and killed on a South Shore street Chicago Police are turning to the public for help solving the case releasing surveillance video of two suspects who approached the victim and opened fire before fleeing the scene.

The shooting occurred at 6:23 p.m. on June 7, 2025 on the 7800 block of South Clyde Avenue in the South Shore neighborhood within the 4th South Chicago District according to a CPD community alert.

Two suspects approached the victim and fired a firearm before fleeing according to Chicago Police.

The victim died as a result of the shooting.

The case remained unsolved for more than a year before CPD released the surveillance video publicly seeking the community’s help identifying the suspects.

Chicago Police have released surveillance video of the June 7 2025 shooting on South Clyde Avenue. Anyone who recognizes either suspect is urged to contact Chicago Police immediately.

Offender one is described as a Black male wearing a black and gray hooded sweater with a red undershirt and dark pants.

Offender two is described as a Black male wearing a black hoodie sweater with white lettering and ripped skinny jeans.
