Cook County Sheriff’s Police Organized Crime Division executed a search warrant at a Harvey home in the 100 block of West 147th Street on July 23 and recovered 11 firearms, 105 grams of cocaine, and more than 900 grams of cannabis. The home is near a daycare center. Four residents were charged with armed violence and ordered to Cook County Jail.

Cook County Sheriff’s Police found 11 firearms and nearly a kilogram of combined drugs inside a Harvey home near a daycare center during an early morning search warrant execution that resulted in four arrests on armed violence charges.

At approximately 7 a.m. on July 23 Sheriff’s Police Organized Crime Division investigators executed a search warrant in the 100 block of West 147th Street following an investigation into narcotics sales at the residence according to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office.

The home is located near a daycare center.

Inside investigators found 11 firearms, 105 grams of suspect cocaine, and more than 900 grams of suspect cannabis. Four residents were taken into custody.

The Charges

The Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office approved the following charges against all four residents later that day.

Randy Landa, 45, was charged with armed violence, felon in possession of a weapon, manufacture and delivery of cocaine, and manufacture and delivery of cannabis.

Ramon Landa, 41, was charged with armed violence, felon in possession of a weapon, manufacture and delivery of cocaine, and manufacture and delivery of cannabis.

Isaac Grant, 20, was charged with armed violence, manufacture and delivery of cocaine, and manufacture and delivery of cannabis.

Amare Murphy, 19, was charged with armed violence, manufacture and delivery of cocaine, and manufacture and delivery of cannabis.

All four were ordered to Cook County Jail custody on July 24 following their first appearance hearings at the Markham Courthouse.
