As the African music industry continues to expand its global footprint, Nigeria’s independent music company, Gcinqmusic, has entered into a strategic partnership with C.R.E.A.M (Creative, Reality, Entertainment, Arts and Music), the artist discovery platform founded by Afrobeats star, to develop emerging talents across the continent.
The collaboration is designed to create sustainable pathways for young African artists by providing access to talent discovery, mentorship, global distribution, marketing support and long-term career development.
At the heart of the partnership is Best of The Streets (B.O.T.S.), C.R.E.A.M’s flagship talent discovery initiative, which returns in October to identify and support promising talents from across Africa.
Under the programme, 10 emerging African artists will be selected to receive mentorship, fan engagement opportunities, global music distribution and comprehensive artist development through Gcinqmusic.
Speaking on the partnership, D’Banj said Africa is home to immense creative talent that only requires the right platform and support to flourish on the global stage.
He said: “Africa is filled with incredible talent waiting for the right opportunity. Through C.R.E.A.M, we’ve always believed in discovering and nurturing the next generation of stars. This partnership with Gcinqmusic is about creating lasting opportunities that go beyond exposure by giving young artists the tools, support and global platform they need to build sustainable careers.”

The partnership reflects a growing shift within Africa’s music industry from celebrating international success to investing in the infrastructure required to sustain the continent’s creative economy.
Rather than focusing solely on chart-topping records and streaming milestones, stakeholders are increasingly prioritising talent discovery, artist development, distribution networks and sustainable creative systems.
The organisers said the collaboration is expected to provide emerging musicians with the resources and industry backing needed to compete successfully on the global stage.
They added that initiatives such as B.O.T.S. demonstrate the importance of structured talent development in ensuring Africa’s music industry continues to produce world-class artists.
As Africa’s creative ecosystem continues to mature, the partnership between Gcinqmusic and C.R.E.A.M is expected to strengthen the support structures needed to nurture the next generation of globally competitive African music stars.
