Nigerian businessman and social commentator Prince Isaac Fayose has criticised President Bola Tinubu over the increasing economic struggles in the country.

He made this remark in a video shared on his Facebook page on Sunday in reaction to the wedding ceremony of Nigerian content creators, Peller and Jarvis, held on Saturday in Lagos.

Fayose noted that the area boys begging for food outnumbered the guests at the wedding, linking the situation to the ongoing hardship plaguing the country.

Fayose, who accused President Tinubu of lacking a clear economic plan to address widespread hunger, also condemned Tinubu’s remark that hunger has existed since he was born.

Fayose said, “Congratulations to Peller and Jarvis. I saw many good people there, but I also saw more area boys on the street than guests. This shows a significant level of hunger.

“I saw them chasing cars and accepting their fate as if they were born to be hungry. The President stated that hunger existed before his birth, and now he claims it has tripled.

“Unlike the UK and US, where hunger is virtually absent, Tinubu’s words suggest that hunger has always been part of Nigeria, prompting questions about his choice to come into power and potentially deepen the problem.”?
