The Delta Mandate, a political support group in Delta State, has inaugurated its Ukwuani Local Government Area chapter with a charge to members to intensify grassroots mobilisation in support of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s re-election bid in 2027.

The inaugural meeting, held on August 1 at the country home of the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Security and Ukwuani Local Government Coordinator of Delta Mandate, Chief Isaac Onyesom, in Umukwata, was attended by the chapter’s executive members and ward coordinators.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Onyesom urged members to demonstrate unwavering commitment to the ideals and objectives of the group, stressing that they should remain fully dedicated to its mission.

He said the primary objective of Delta Mandate is to work towards securing the re-election of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in the 2027 governorship election, while also mobilising support for all candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

Onyesom charged members to work assiduously and leave no stone unturned in ensuring the success of the governor’s re-election campaign, describing grassroots mobilisation as critical to achieving the group’s objectives.

He further directed ward coordinators to extend the campaign to the grassroots by reaching every electoral unit within their respective wards and ensuring that the message of Delta Mandate permeates all communities across Ukwuani Local Government Area.

According to him, sustained engagement at the ward and unit levels would strengthen the group’s structure and enhance its mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Those who attended the meeting included the Local Government Secretary of the chapter, Dr. Chukwuneye Samuel Ossai; the Woman Leader, Mrs. Betty Atagoshi; the Youth Leader, Mr. Abraham Dike; Mr. Molly Oji; Hon. Chidi Jerry Oji; Pastor Humphrey Uzuakpundu; Chief Ekpenuma; Mr. Enwelem Macaulay; Friday Adibeli; Hon. Monday Ibobo; Hon. Ken Ojugbeli; and Mr. Isaiah Atuma, among other members.
