Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang has celebrated with Hon. Yakubu David Jang on his appointment as Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the Office of the President.

Mutfwang, in a Press Statement signed and issued by his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Dr Gyang Bere, described the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of Hon. Jang’s hard work, intellectual capacity, dedication, and commitment to public service.

He noted that the appointment reflects the confidence reposed in him by the Presidency and serves as a testament to his years of distinguished service and leadership.

The Governor commended President Tinubu for the thoughtful appointment and appreciated the symbolic announcement made by Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima during the 80th birthday celebration and autobiography unveiling of former Plateau State Governor and elder statesman, Senator Jonah David Jang.

Governor Mutfwang stated that the appointment is not only an honour to the Jang family but also a source of pride for the people of Plateau State.

He described it as a demonstration of the President’s recognition of the contributions of Plateau citizens to national development and a reflection of the enduring legacy of service associated with the Jang family.

Expressing confidence in Hon. Yakubu Jang’s ability to excel in his new role, the Governor said he possesses the experience, competence, and intellectual depth required to contribute meaningfully to the success of the Tinubu administration and the advancement of the nation.

Governor Mutfwang however on behalf of the Government and the good people of the state congratulated Hon. Yakubu David Jang on his appointment and prayed that God grants him wisdom, strength, grace, and divine guidance as he undertakes the responsibilities of his new office.
