An armed crew has struck nine South Side businesses in just two weeks ripping ATMs from commercial locations across seven Chicago neighborhoods according to a Chicago Police Department. The incidents occurred between July 21 and August 4 2026 in the early morning hours across the Burnside, Roseland, Ashburn, Beverly, West Pullman, South Shore, and Jeffery Manor neighborhoods. The suspects are described as multiple unknown male offenders wearing hooded sweatshirts and masks who have been observed primarily driving Jeeps.

An armed crew has been terrorizing South Side businesses for two weeks striking nine commercial locations in seven neighborhoods and ripping ATMs in coordinated early morning raids according to a Chicago Police Department community alert covering the 4th, 5th, 8th, and 22nd Districts.

The pattern of robberies and burglaries began on July 21 and continued through August 4 with the most recent incident occurring early this morning in the South Shore neighborhood.

July 21 2026 at 3:45 a.m. — 1100 block of East 95th Street in Burnside.

July 25 2026 at 3:51 a.m. — 8200 block of South Kedzie Avenue in Ashburn.

July 25 2026 at 3:57 a.m. — 10000 block of South Western Avenue in Beverly.

July 25 2026 at 4:46 a.m. — 11000 block of South Michigan Avenue in West Pullman.

July 25 2026 at 4:55 a.m. — 200 block of West 103rd Street in Roseland.

July 28 2026 at 2:38 a.m. — 1600 block of East 79th Street in South Shore.

July 30 2026 at 4:09 a.m. — 9600 block of South Jeffery Avenue in Jeffery Manor.

August 3 2026 at 3:43 a.m. — 400 block of East 95th Street in Roseland.

August 4 2026 at 4:49 a.m. — 7600 block of South Jeffery Boulevard in South Shore.

The Pattern

Every incident follows the same pattern.

Multiple armed offenders forcefully take or attempt to take the ATM from inside targeted businesses.

All nine incidents occurred in the early morning hours between approximately 2:30 a.m. and 5 a.m.

The crew struck three locations on a single morning on July 25 hitting Ashburn, Beverly, and West Pullman within one hour of each other.

The most recent incident occurred this morning August 4 at 4:49 a.m. on the 7600 block of South Jeffery Boulevard in South Shore.

Suspect Description

Chicago Police describe the suspects as multiple unknown male offenders wearing hooded sweatshirts and masks.

The offenders have been primarily observed driving Jeeps.
