Sky Sports veteran, Jeff Stelling, has tipped Arsenal as the team to beat in the race for this season’s Premier League title.

Stelling believes Mikel Arteta’s side head into the campaign as favourites, arguing that their closest rivals have not strengthened enough to overtake them.

The Gunners head into the new season on the back of a successful campaign in which they won the Premier League title ahead of Manchester City and Manchester United.

They also reached the UEFA Champions League final before losing to Paris Saint-Germain.

Arteta has further reinforced his squad during the transfer window in a bid to compete on both domestic and European fronts.

Speaking to talkSPORT on Monday, Stelling said, “For me, the challengers are not getting stronger.

“So at the moment, Arsenal, for me, are the clear, clear favourites in terms of the Premier League, but it’s a question of what they can do in Europe as well.”
