Nollywood actress Temitope (Tope) Osoba died on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, after a long illness.

Her death came almost a year after she returned to acting following her public battle with breast cancer.

After the news of her passing, colleagues, fans and other figures in the entertainment industry paid tribute to her on social media.

1. She was born in Lagos

Temitope Osoba was born and raised in Lagos State.

2. She studied at OOU

She earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Business Education from Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ogun State.

3. She started acting in 2005

Osoba began her acting career around 2005. She often said her journey into Nollywood happened unexpectedly.

4. Her breakthrough came with Oogun Mi

She became widely known after starring in Oogun Mi, a film produced by Dayo Amusa.
