Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has nominated eight new commissioners to serve in his administration for the remaining months of his tenure.

The Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Danladi Jatau, announced the appointments on Wednesday while reading the governor’s letter during plenary in Lafia.

The nominees are:

  1. Muhammad Habeeb Nagogo (Wamba LGA)
  2. Ahmed Yakubu Mohammed (Lafia LGA)
  3. Hon. Mohammed Baba Shehu (Keffi LGA
  4. Hon. Mohammed Iyimoga Oyigye (Obi LGA)
  5. Adamu Rabecca Kpadji (Wamba LGA)
  6. Nawani Aboki (Doma LGA)
  7. Jibril Abdullahi Ibrahim, FCNA (Nasarawa LGA)
  8. Ashefo Daniel Paul (Lafia LGA)

The Speaker directed the Clerk of the House to notify the nominees to submit 30 copies of their curriculum vitae and appear for screening on Friday, August 7, 2026, at the Assembly complex.

This development follows a minor cabinet reshuffle announced on July 22, in which six commissioners were asked to step aside as part of efforts to reposition the administration. The affected ministries included Works, Women Affairs, Information, Lands, Science and Technology, and Security.

The new appointments are expected to strengthen Governor Sule’s cabinet as his administration works to deliver on its remaining mandates before the end of its tenure.
