Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has accused his predecessor and current Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola, of orchestrating what he described as a coordinated campaign of intimidation, killings, and arrests against members of the Accord Party ahead of the August 15, 2026 governorship election.

In a statement posted on X, Adeleke raised alarm over the detention of 60 Accord Party members, linking the arrests to broader political pressure on his administration. 

He also condemned the recent freezing of Osun State Government bank accounts by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), describing it as part of the alleged intimidation strategy.

The governor’s claims come amid heightened political tension in Osun as the election date approaches, with opposition parties and stakeholders trading accusations over security and fairness in the electoral process.
