Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has reportedly been offered to Spanish LaLiga giants Atletico Madrid as his representatives explore a possible move away from Galatasaray.

According to Spanish outlet Club Uria, intermediaries presented Osimhen as a potential signing option to Atletico Madrid, with the proposed deal reportedly valued at around €75 million.

The report said the 27-year-old forward was willing to accept a wage reduction in order to join Atletico and work under manager Diego Simeone, whose style of play the Nigerian has previously praised.

However, Atletico Madrid are said to have rejected the proposal, with reports suggesting that the club does not currently have the financial capacity to complete such a major transfer.

The Spanish side are also reportedly satisfied with their attacking options, particularly Argentine forward Julian Alvarez, whom they consider central to their plans.

Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray on loan before making his move permanent, remains under contract with the Turkish champions until 2029.

The Nigerian international has attracted interest from several European clubs, with reports indicating that intermediaries have also explored possibilities with Barcelona, Arsenal and Tottenham.

Tottenham are said to have submitted an offer exceeding €55 million for the striker, although the figure reportedly remains below Galatasaray’s valuation.

Osimhen previously expressed admiration for Simeone and Atletico Madrid after facing the Spanish club in the Champions League.

“I like him, I have always been a fan of their coach. I’ve met him a couple of times. They play aggressively and have an identity,” Osimhen was quoted as saying.

Despite the reported interest from top European clubs, Osimhen’s next move remains uncertain as negotiations continue over his future.
