Troops of the Joint Task Force North-East, Operation HADIN KAI, have intensified counter-insurgency operations in Nigeria’s North-East, arresting four suspected collaborators of Boko Haram and the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) during intelligence-led operations across Yobe and Borno states.

The latest military offensive also exposed a suspected support network linked to the insurgents, with troops intercepting 20 individuals believed to be family members of Jama’atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati wal-Jihad (JAS) fighters who were reportedly attempting to flee following sustained military offensives on terrorist enclaves.

Military authorities disclosed that the coordinated operations resulted in the recovery of several items suspected to be connected to terrorist logistics and criminal activities. Items recovered include large quantities of suspected Indian hemp, mobile phones, power banks, knives, scissors, torchlights, cigarette rolls, lighters, Pregabalin capsules, Piscof syrup, identity documents, ATM cards, and cash amounting to N14,530.

In a separate intelligence-led operation in Monguno Local Government Area of Borno State, troops of Sector 3 Garrison, working in collaboration with the 242 Reconnaissance Battalion, arrested two suspected ISWAP logistics suppliers allegedly operating along insurgent supply routes.

According to military sources, preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects confessed to transporting food items and other supplies to ISWAP fighters operating around Kwatan Dowoshi Village in Kukawa Local Government Area of the state.

The arrests are part of ongoing efforts by Operation HADIN KAI to dismantle terrorist support networks, cut off logistics channels, and sustain pressure on Boko Haram and ISWAP elements across the North-East.

Military authorities said operations against insurgent groups remain ongoing as troops continue to target terrorist hideouts and disrupt supply chains supporting their activities.
