The African Democratic Congress in Benue State has expressed confidence that their presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, will win the upcoming presidential election based on current analyses.
The party’s gubernatorial candidate, Herman Hembe, made this announcement in Makurdi on Thursday while introducing his deputy gubernatorial candidate, John Abba.
Hembe had previously formed a committee to select the deputy gubernatorial candidate just days after he was announced as the party’s gubernatorial candidate.
According to Hembe, the selection process for the deputy gubernatorial candidate, which received the endorsement of the party’s national chairman, Senator David Mark, was conducted transparently.
Hembe said, “Let me congratulate Abba on his selection as deputy governorship candidate of the party. We constituted a team to consult and get the deputy governorship candidate and our leader, David Mark ensured the process was transparent.”
Speaking on the permutations, Hembe stated that all things are working in favour of the party presidential candidate.

“Our permutations are that the votes from the southern part of the country will be shared between Peter Obi and Bola Tinubu, and we are very sure that neither Obi nor Tinubu will be able to defeat Atiku in the three geopolitical zones in the north,” Hembe said.
While charging the party members to go all out to work for all the party candidates at the presidential election, Hembe assured that there will be bandwagon effects on the second election.
“Our hardest job is to work and ensure that our party wins the presidential and national assembly elections, then, we will just go and sleep because that victory will have a positive effect on our election.
Hembe promised that he is only going to spend a term in office to complete the eight years of Jechira zone and create history to hand over to the Benue South senatorial district, known as Zone C.
