The Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Thursday “unanimously reconfirmed its support for FIFA President Gianni Infantino” after his failed plan to sell stakes in the World Cup.

CAF president Patrice Motsepe also said in the same statement released following a meeting of its members that CAF “welcomes and endorses” FIFA’s apologies for the scheme.
