The Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) has supported over 82,000 businesses through capacity-building initiatives, training, advisory services and business development aid to help entrepreneurs build stronger, and more competitive enterprises. 

The trust fund also said it has created 20,000 job opportunities for the residents of the state.

The state Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, Akinyemi Ajigbotafe, stated this at Alausa, Ikeja, Thursday, during a press briefing to launch the “Access to Market – Lagos on Display 2026,” a business exhibition which afforded over 300 business from across Lagos state the opportunity to showcase their diversity, innovation and quality of products and services.

Ajigbotafe, who was represented by the director of Employment, in the ministry, Shitta Demilola, noted that the LSETF has invested in developing capabilities.

“We have strengthened business structures. But capacity without access to markets limits the full potential of enterprise growth,” he added.

The event, which took place at the JJT Park, Alausa, Ikeja, commenced  on Thursday,  August 6, 2026, and will end on August 8.

Ajigbotafe said the Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment is responsible for developing and implementing policies and programmes that promote employment generation, enterprise development, skills development, and sustainable wealth creation for the people of Lagos state.
