Defending champions Nigeria’s Flying Eagles will face Burkina Faso in the final of the WAFU B U-20 Championship on Sunday.

The title clash will be a repeat of their Group B encounter, in which Burkina Faso’s Young Stallions claimed a 2-0 victory over the Flying Eagles.

Nigeria secured their place in the final after edging hosts Côte d’Ivoire 4-2 on penalties following a dramatic 2-2 draw that lasted through extra time.

Burkina Faso, on the other hand, booked their spot in the final with a 2-0 extra-time victory over Niger Republic in the second semi-final.

The winners of the final will earn qualification for the 2027 Africa U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.

Abdu Maikaba’s Flying Eagles will be chasing a third successive WAFU B U-20 Championship title, having emerged champions in the previous two editions.
