The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the successful completion of the nomination process for the 2027 general elections, confirming that all its governorship, deputy governorship and State House of Assembly candidates have been uploaded to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Candidate Nomination Portal.
The announcement was made by the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda Onf Friday.
He described the development as a major milestone in the party’s preparations for the 2027 elections.

According to Yilwatda, the ruling party achieved a 100 per cent upload of all its candidates within the timeframe stipulated by INEC.
“I am pleased to announce that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has successfully achieved a 100% upload of all our 56 Governorship and Deputy Governorship, and 1,015 State House of Assembly candidates on the INEC Candidate Nomination Portal,” he said.
The APC chairman congratulated the party’s leaders, members and candidates across the country for the achievement describing it as evidence of the party’s commitment to a smooth and transparent nomination process.
The successful upload clears the way for the party’s candidates to participate in the forthcoming governorship and State House of Assembly elections, subject to INEC’s verification and other electoral procedures.
The APC is expected to intensify campaigns across the affected states as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.
