Singer Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, has reacted after his twin brother, Peter Okoye, better known as Mr P, alleged that their late mother, Josephine Okoye, mistreated his wife, Lola Omotayo-Okoye, during the latest episode of his ongoing tell-all series on the P-Square family feud.
Rudeboy, in a post shared on his social media pages on Friday, appeared to defend their late mother without directly responding to the specific allegations made by his brother.
“Unfortunately, you’re not here to defend yourself. Continue resting, Mum,” he wrote.
His post came barely 24 hours after Mr P released the eighth episode of his video series, where he revisited several family incidents that he claimed contributed to the collapse of his relationship with his brothers and eventually the breakup of the iconic music group.
The latest revelations have reignited public interest in the long-running dispute involving the former P-Square members and their elder brother, Jude Okoye.
Mr P recounts Omole family meeting
Speaking in the video, Mr P alleged that the confrontation occurred shortly after Lola gave birth to their first son while they were living at their Omole residence in Lagos.
According to him, their late mother visited the house but surprisingly asked to see Lola before asking about the newborn baby.
Mr P said he was forced to lie to Lola by telling her not to bring the baby because the house had been fumigated, explaining that he found the request unusual.
He claimed that upon Lola’s arrival, she was invited into the master bedroom where their late mother, brothers Jude, Paul and Tony, alongside some pastors, were already waiting.
According to the singer, neither he nor his wife was welcomed properly or offered seats during the gathering.
Instead, he said they both sat on the floor while the discussion began.
Mr P alleged that his mother told Lola that the Okoye family had decided she should leave their son alone, a statement that left both him and his wife shocked.
He said Lola initially thought he had secretly arranged the meeting because the couple had recently had a minor disagreement.
Claims of hostility towards Lola
Mr P further alleged that the meeting became more hostile after Jude intervened and demanded that Lola leave him alone.
He also claimed Jude picked up a photograph of his infant son and made a derogatory remark in Igbo, which Lola interpreted as referring to the child as a “bastard.”
According to him, the emotional confrontation caused Lola to break down in tears before the pastors present attempted to calm the situation.
He alleged that she was eventually escorted out of the house following the incident.
The singer further claimed that before the child’s birth, Jude and Rudeboy had opposed Lola’s pregnancy and even circulated an anonymous email questioning whether he was the biological father of the unborn baby.
Mr P maintained that the allegations deeply affected him and his wife at the time.
Late mother allegedly sought reconciliation
Despite the painful experience, Mr P said their late mother later admitted that the child was indeed his biological son and instructed Paul and Jude to apologise.
However, he claimed the apology never came before her death.
He also dismissed claims that Lola disliked his late mother, insisting that she cared for her devotedly during a prolonged illness.
According to Mr P, Lola regularly stayed with his mother in hospital until late at night and also assisted pastors who visited during the period.
He argued that the narrative portraying his wife as disrespectful to the family was inaccurate.
Rudeboy remains brief
Unlike his brother, Rudeboy did not address any of the specific accusations in his response.
His short social media message was widely interpreted by fans as a defence of their late mother, suggesting she was no longer alive to tell her own side of the story.
The latest exchange marks another chapter in the prolonged conflict involving the Okoye brothers, which has dominated entertainment headlines for years.
In previous episodes of the series, Mr P accused Jude of financial misconduct, threatening his life and attempting to dispossess him of jointly owned property in Atlanta, United States.
Jude has consistently denied the major allegations against him, insisting that several of the issues are already before the court and should not be litigated in the media.
Rudeboy has largely stayed away from the public exchanges throughout the dispute.
His management recently stated that the singer remains focused on his music career and has no intention of engaging in a public war of words over the family’s internal disagreements.
With Mr P promising more revelations in subsequent episodes of his tell-all series, the long-running P-Square family feud continues to unfold in the public eye, drawing widespread reactions from fans and observers across the entertainment industry.
