Chelsea defeated AC Milan 3-0 in Jakarta on Saturday to win the 2026 Indonesia Super Cup, with Joao Pedro scoring twice and Moises Caicedo adding a stunning third goal.
The victory handed Chelsea their first trophy of their Indonesian pre-season tour as Xabi Alonso’s side dominated proceedings at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in front of 40,856 spectators.
Joao Pedro opened the scoring in first-half stoppage time after meeting Caicedo’s corner with a glancing header that beat AC Milan goalkeeper Lorenzo Torriani.
The Brazilian forward doubled Chelsea’s advantage shortly after the restart when Pedro Neto delivered a cross to the back post, allowing Joao Pedro to escape his marker and finish calmly.
Caicedo then put the game beyond Milan in the 50th minute with a spectacular outside-of-the-boot volley.
The Ecuadorian midfielder connected with a pass from Romeo Lavia following another Chelsea corner, firing the ball into the bottom corner to make it 3-0.
While Milan made several changes at half-time, Alonso kept his starting XI intact as Chelsea continued to control the match and create further chances.
Cole Palmer came close to adding a fourth but was denied by Torriani, while Nicolas Jackson, introduced in the second half alongside Geovany Quenda, struck the post after a powerful run into the Milan box.
Chelsea started the game with Robert Sanchez in goal, with Josh Acheampong, Wesley Fofana, Jorrel Hato and Marco Palestra forming the defence.
Caicedo captained the side alongside Lavia in midfield, while Palmer, Joao Pedro, Neto and Danny Welbeck led the attack.
The win marked Chelsea’s fourth match of their pre-season tour and strengthened their preparations ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
Chelsea will continue their tour on Sunday when they travel to Malaysia to face Johor Darul Ta’zim. The match is scheduled for 8pm local time and 1pm UK time.
