As a child, if you don’t yet know Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, don’t worry. She is the big 72-year-old woman in the picture above. She is a Nigerian economist, leader, politician, author, wife, mother, grandmother, and many more.
She served as a three-time minister in Nigeria, and is currently the Director-General of the World Trade Organisation, as the first woman to lead the organisation. She also worked with the World Bank and other big global organisations.
What is interesting about Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is that she started locally in Nigeria before becoming internationally known.
Like many children, she did her basic education in Nigeria. She attended Queen’s School, Enugu; St. Anne’s School, Ibadan; and the International School, Ibadan; before going to study at Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the United States.
She has received many recognitions and awards, including being among the 50 Greatest World Leaders, the Top 100 Most Influential People in the World, the Top 100 Global Thinkers, the Top 100 Most Powerful Women in the World, etc.

Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala was once a child like you. Get to know her more and learn from her works. If she can be great and popular, you too, especially the girl-child, can do much better.
