Pastor David Ibiyeomie has urged Nigerians to be careful about who they support and vote for in future elections, warning that choosing the wrong leaders could lead to even greater hardship.

Speaking to his congregation, Ibiyeomie questioned why people with common sense would allow what he described as a dangerous drug baron to rule over them, using the name of late Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar as a comparison.

“How can people with common sense allow Pablo Escobar, a dangerous drug baron, to rule over them? If you fail to vote right again, you will suffer more than you have suffered now!” Ibiyeomie said.

The pastor urged Nigerians to take their voting decisions seriously and consider the character and record of candidates before supporting them.
