Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara state has accepted the Blueprint Newspaper’s 2025 Award for Efficient Public Resource Management and Transparency, describing the recognition as an encouragement to sustain reforms aimed at promoting accountability and prudent management of public resources.

The governor conveyed his acceptance in a letter signed by the Director-General, Media and Communication, Nuhu Salihu Anka, in response to a notification from the management and editorial board of Blueprint Newspapers Limited informing him of his nomination for the award.

Lawal expressed appreciation to the management and editorial board of Blueprint.ng for recognising his administration’s efforts in the utilisation of public resources and promotion of transparency in the governance of Zamfara state.

The governor said the recognition was proof of the collective hard work and resilience of his administration in pursuing reforms designed to improve governance and ensure that public resources were efficiently managed.

According to the governor, the award would further motivate his administration to deepen its commitment to meaningful reforms and transparent governance.

The governor said he viewed the nomination not only as an honour but also as an acknowledgement of the efforts of members of his administration and other stakeholders working to improve public resource management in the state.

Lawal said the recognition would encourage his administration to sustain its reform agenda, particularly measures aimed at ensuring that government resources are deployed efficiently and transparently for the benefit of the people.

The statement reads: “I write to formally acknowledge the receipt of your letter dated 12June 2026 informing His Excellency Dr. Dauda Lawal of Zamfara state, of his nomination for the Blueprint Newspaper 2025 award on efficient public Resource Management and Transparency.

“His Excellency wish to express his gratitude to the management and editorial board of Blueprint Newspaper Limited for this honor which serves as a recognition for effective and efficient utilisation of public resources and transparency in Zamfara state.
