Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Her Excellency Bianca Odumegwu – Ojukwu; Vice Chancellor of Godfrey Okoye University, Very Rev. Fr. Professor Dr. Christian Anieke; Catholic Bishop of Enugu, Most Rev. Dr. Callistus Chukwuma Onaga and Prof. Dr. Gozie Ogbodo, Rector of the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) are expected to lead several other dignitaries, including academics, legal practitioners, government officials, traditional rulers and others to a festschrift on International and Comparative Law in honour of HRM Professor Dr. Christian Nwachukwu Okeke, the Eze Osuofia I of Obinofia Ndiuno Ancient Kingdom.

The event, scheduled for 11am on August 14, 2026, will take place at the Peter Mbah Auditorium, Godfrey Okoye University, Thinkers Corner, Enugu.

Published by Renaissance Law Publications Ltd to celebrate the contributions of Prof. Okeke to law and academia, Prof. Agu Gab Agu is the Editor-in-Chief of the publication, titled: The Legal and Academic Colossus: From Academia to Majesty.

The Chief Host of the event is the Gov. Mbah while Odumegwu-Ojukwu will chair the occasion. Professor Anieke will serve as the host while Prof. Ogbodo is billed to review the publication. Most Rev. Onaga will be the Spiritual Father of the Day.

Okeke is a distinguished academic and accomplished traditional ruler, who brought to public service an uncommon blend of intellectual depth, strategic clarity and a deep sense of responsibility.
