Nollywood actor, Lateef Adedimeji has reflected on the journey he and his wife, actress Adebimpe Oyebade, popularly known as Mo Bimpe, went through before welcoming their three sons.

Lateef shared the emotional reflection on social media, recalling the mockery, assumptions, stigma and hurtful comments the couple faced during their journey to parenthood.

According to the actor, there were moments when he and his wife could have responded to their critics, explained themselves or attempted to prove people wrong, but they chose to remain silent and trust in Allah.

“There was a time when the whispers were louder than our prayers,” Lateef wrote.

He said the couple remained hopeful because they believed Allah was writing their story, adding that they did not need to respond to every accusation or convince everyone of their situation.

“Just wait for His timing,” he said.

Reflecting on their present reality, Lateef expressed gratitude for being able to stand beside his wife and look at their three sons, describing the children as blessings and answers to prayers.

“Today, I stand beside my wife, looking at our three beautiful boys, and I can only say: SUBHANALLAH.

“Three boys. Three blessings. Three miracles. Three answers to prayers only Allah knew about,” he added.

The actor said what some people thought would break the couple was instead used by Allah to build them, while what others mocked eventually became their testimony.

“What people thought would break us, Allah used to build us. What people used to mock, Allah turned into our testimony. What people spoke about in darkness, Allah brought into the light,” he said.

Lateef also acknowledged his wife’s role throughout their journey, thanking her for standing by him even when doing so was difficult and for continuing to believe despite the doubts created by people around them.

He equally addressed his three sons, saying they were prayed for, waited for and fought for before Allah brought them into the family at what he described as the most beautiful time.

“You were prayed for. You were waited for. You were fought for. And Allah brought you to us in His most beautiful time,” he wrote.

The actor said he no longer seeks revenge, explanations or the need to prove anything to those who doubted the couple.

“I just want to say ALHAMDULILLAH,” he stated, adding that sometimes the best response to people who counted one out was to let them watch Allah count one’s blessings.

The couple are now set to hold a triplet appreciation and thanksgiving service on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, as they continue to celebrate the arrival of their three boys.
