The presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Adewole Adebayo, has called for the immediate expulsion of Osun East Senatorial District lawmaker Francis Fadahunsi following the remark he made during the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship campaign in Osun State.

New Telegraph had earlier reported that Fadahunsi, in a viral video, urged supporters to kill members of the Accord Party.

Speaking on Arise Television’s ‘Morning Show’ on Thursday, Adebayo emphasised the need to uphold responsible leadership by condemning all forms of violence and inflammatory language in public discourse.

The SDP candidate urged the APC to expel Fadahunsi and others involved, warning that failure to act would imply collective responsibility.

Adebayo stated, “I condemn the statement attributed to the senator and the broader use of violence in public life.”

Regarding law enforcement, Adebayo said, “We don’t need to be told what the police are doing. We need to see the suspect in court to confirm that action is being taken.”
