As security arrangements intensify ahead of the Saturday, August 15 Osun State Governorship Election, the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has published official emergency contacts and complaint hotlines for voters and the public.
According to the initiative aims to provide direct channels for real-time reporting of security threats, electoral infractions, violence, or unprofessional conduct by officers during the poll.

To ensure transparency and accountability among security operatives deployed for election duty, the Police Force has also activated its Complaint Response Unit (CRU) with three designated lines: Complaint Response Unit (CRU 1): 08057000001, Complaint Response Unit (CRU 2): 08057000002, Complaint Response Unit (CRU 3): 08057000003.
In a statement accompanying the emergency release, law enforcement authorities reassured citizens of full security coverage across all polling units, collation centers, and key infrastructure.
Voters have been encouraged to exercise their franchise peacefully and report any suspicious activities promptly.
Police authorities emphasized that prompt reporting of incidents will enable swift tactical intervention and help safeguard the integrity of the voting process.
