Osun State Governor and Accord Party governorship candidate, Ademola Adeleke, has raised concerns over irregularities in the ongoing gubernatorial election, citing malfunctioning voter accreditation machines and intimidation of voters in parts of the state.

Speaking on Osun Radio on Saturday, Adeleke said he had received multiple complaints that the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BIVAS) machines were operating slowly at several polling units, causing delays for voters eager to cast their ballots.

He further alleged that thugs were disrupting the process in Olorunda and Irewole Local Government Areas, accusing a man identified as Enuku and his associates of intimidating residents. 

“Right now, there are complaints that BIVAS are not working well. I am not happy at all. The police are aiding the APC. Enuku, the thug, is disturbing people,” Adeleke stated.

The governor also expressed dissatisfaction with the conduct of security personnel in Olorunda, urging his supporters to remain calm, vote, and protect their ballots. 

“My advice is that my people should vote and defend their votes. Don’t be afraid. It is just for one day,” he said.As of the time of filing this report, the allegations could not be independently verified.
