The Federal Capital Territory Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Board (FCT MPWB) has fixed N7, 672, 822.00 as the 2027 Hajj fares for intending pilgrims from the FCT, Abuja.

The director of the board, Malam Kadiri Edah, made the disclosure Monday in his office, in Abuja during a chat with reporters. He stated that the fares were in line with the recent announcement by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

Kadiri stated that the intending pilgrims who earlier deposited a minimum of N7, 500,000, or less, with the board, should now make their balance payments.

He added that the balance payments ‘must be through a bank draft, payable to the FCT Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Abuja, from any commercial bank on or before 25th September, 2026, being the stipulated closing date for the registration exercise’.

In addition, Malam Kadiri advised the intending pilgrims who have not yet submitted their international passports to the board’s officials, to do so immediately, or forfeit their hajj slots.

He further highlighted that the international passports must be valid through October 2027, accompanied by a photocopy of NIN slip,  4 recent passport photographs and must fill a guarantor’s form, amongst others.
