The leadership of the Imole Campaign Council has initiated a comprehensive post-election review following the conclusion of the Osun State governorship election. As part of this process, the council directed its local structures across all local government areas in Osun State to immediately document every individual affected by violence before, during, and after the poll.
The audit encompasses individuals who sustained physical injuries, families who lost relatives, property owners whose assets were damaged, and all other identifiable victims of election-related unrest. Campaign officials emphasised that the documentation process will remain strictly non-partisan, covering all affected citizens regardless of their political affiliation or voting preferences.
While expressing gratitude to God and the electorate for the election results, council leadership acknowledged that political victory does not erase the trauma or losses suffered by affected families. Officials stated that responsible governance requires accounting for the human consequences of the political contest once voting concludes.
To complete the review, all local government council structures must submit verified and comprehensive records of affected individuals to the central leadership. The council reaffirmed that political competition has ended, and community reconciliation must take precedence.
