Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a deal with Manchester City to sign Brazilian winger Savinho for £75m, with a further £10m available in potential add-ons.
Savinho, 22, will undergo a medical before completing his move to north London, where he is expected to sign a long-term contract.
As reported by BBC Sport on Friday, the transfer is the culmination of more than a year of interest from Tottenham, who failed with an attempt to sign the winger last summer. Savinho ultimately chose to remain at Manchester City, but his opportunities were limited last season, when he made just seven Premier League starts.
Tottenham head coach Roberto De Zerbi has already spent heavily this summer, with the club investing £185m on midfielders Mateus Fernandes from West Ham and Sandro Tonali from Newcastle.
Savinho’s arrival will take Spurs’ spending beyond £300m, although the club have recouped around £140m through the sales of Cristian Romero, Djed Spence and Luka Vuskovic.
Tottenham are not expected to stop there
Talks over a potential deal for Savinho’s Manchester City team-mate Omar Marmoush are progressing positively.
The Egypt international, who joined City from Eintracht Frankfurt for £59m in 2025, fell down the pecking order last season and could now be available for a move.
Spurs also retain an interest in Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo, although it remains unclear whether they could finance a deal for the Netherlands international alongside potential moves for Marmoush and Savinho.
Tottenham begin their Premier League campaign away to Brentford on Saturday at 17:30 BST, while Manchester City host Bournemouth on Sunday at 14:00 BST.
