The lawmaker representing Kwara Central in the National Assembly, Senator Saliu Mustapha, has dismissed reports that he has withdrawn his support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in the 2027 general elections.

This is as he expressed support for the Rainbow Coalition, adding that a former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has also thrown his weight behind the group.

Speaking during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Friday, Mustapha said he left the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) because of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

According to the lawmaker, he does not like the way the governor has been handling the APC in the state.

He also said that he would defeat Governor AbdulRazaq in the 2027 NASS election for the Kwara Central.

The senator claimed that he would defeat the Governor in the January 16 election before 1 p.m.
