An armed robbery crew has targeted pedestrians in Chicago’s Rogers Park and West Ridge neighborhoods four times in one week, always striking in the early morning hours, according to a Chicago Police Department community alert from the 24th District.

The Four Incidents

August 13, 2026, at 4:45 a.m. — 1300 block of West Arthur Avenue in Rogers Park.

August 15, 2026, at 3:34 a.m. — 1700 block of West Chase Avenue in Rogers Park.

August 15, 2026, at 5:50 a.m. — 6400 block of North Ridge Boulevard in Rogers Park. A second robbery in Rogers Park less than two and a half hours after the first that morning.

August 15, 2026, at 6:25 a.m. — 7200 block of North California Avenue in West Ridge. A third robbery that same morning just 35 minutes after the previous incident.

Their Method

The suspects exit a black SUV or black sedan, approach victims on the street, produce firearms, and demand their personal property. After taking the victims’ belongings, the suspects flee the area in the same vehicle they arrived in.

Suspect Description

Chicago Police describe the suspects as three to four male subjects wearing all black clothing and hooded sweatshirts.
