Corps members have been warned to conduct themselves within the provisions of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) by-laws and the constitution of the country.

NYSC Director General, Brig.- Gen Olakunle Nafiu, gave the warning while addressing the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream 2 corps members deployed to Kano and FCT at NYSC permanent orientation camp in Karaye.

He said any corps member that indulges in any act that could dent the image of the scheme and, or the nation would not be spared by relevant sections of the NYSC bye-laws.

“You are expected to become brand ambassadors, representing the NYSC, your families, and the institutions you graduated from,” he said.

He also advised the corps members to use their education to think logically and creatively by contributing their quota to national development.

General Nafiu implored them to spend their time wisely and indulge in activities that would add value to them while serving.

“Don’t waste your time. Up skill yourselves, find out those skills that are essential in line with your course of study and acquire them.

“Promote positive contents that can promote the culture and values of your host communities and the scheme,” he added.
