A businessman, Adamu Mohammed, has approached an Upper Area Court in Mararaba Gurku, Nasarawa State, seeking an order compelling his sister-in-law to allow his wife to return to him.
Adamu, a resident of Aso, Mararaba Gurku in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, filed the application against Aisha Mohammed, his wife, and Fatima Mohammed, his sister-in-law, both residents of Tudun Wada, Mararaba.
Adamu told the court that he and his wife were legally married under Islamic law.

He alleged that in July, his sister-in-law came to his house and took his wife away without his consent.
Mohammed further told the court that in spite of several attempts to bring his wife back by visiting his sister-in-law’s residence, she refused to allow Aisha to return to him.
He, therefore, prayed the court to compel his sister-in-law to allow his wife to return home.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the suit was filed on July 31.
The judge, Mohammed Shomo, adjourned the case.
