Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate Keivo has identified fellow housemate Aiko as a “Gambit”, saying he believes there is a 70 per cent chance that Aiko is the mystery housemate playing the hidden role.

Keivo made the revelation after Saturday Night Party during a conversation with Nomy and Aiko in the Big Brother Naija house, as they discussed the identities of housemates they suspected could be Gambits.

According to Keivo, the Gambit role should not necessarily be confused with a housemate’s personality, arguing that some contestants could naturally behave in ways that might appear to be part of a deliberate game. “It’s not a personality. You’re mistaking the game for a personality,” Keivo said.

Turning his attention to Aiko, Keivo said the housemate ranked highest on his list of suspected Gambits. “Aiko, why are you laughing?” Keivo asked before explaining his suspicion.”He has the highest spot on my list; he’s the Gambit,” he said.

Asked why he considered Aiko a strong candidate, Keivo pointed to what he described as the uniqueness of Aiko’s personality and his ability to attract the attention of virtually everyone in the house.

“Because, out of the personalities, his own is the only one that is peculiar. That everyone is interested in,” Keivo explained.

He recalled an occasion when Aiko was speaking and appeared to have the attention of the entire house. “The day he was speaking, the whole house was interested in him,” Keivo said, noting that both the loud and quiet housemates appeared interested in what Aiko had to say.

Keivo went further, putting the likelihood of Aiko being the Gambit at about 70 per cent. “I’ve not told anyone this, but the chances of him being the Gambit are like 70% compared to any other candidate,” he said.

Explaining his reasoning, Keivo suggested that the Gambit could be someone who stays away from the centre of attention while still playing an important role in the house. “To be honest, I feel like these things are always people that are not in your face,” he said.

Using Aiko as an example, Keivo argued that the housemate’s relatively understated presence could actually be part of what makes him suspicious.

“For his case now, he’s not visible. You think he’s not visible. You think he’s not there, but he’s there,” Keivo said.

The conversation then shifted to whether the same theory could apply to the housemates facing eviction.

Keivo questioned why the housemates’ first impressions of one another could not also influence their chances of being evicted, especially if viewers had voted based on the personalities they initially encountered.

He also distinguished between the perceived “games” of the housemates, using Nomy and Cassie as examples. “Take Nomy, for instance. Her game is different from Cassie’s,” he said.

However, Nomy challenged the idea that what appears to be a strategy must necessarily be a deliberate game. “What if that’s who she is? What if it’s not a game?” she asked.

Keivo agreed that a housemate’s natural personality could sometimes look like a strategy but maintained that, within the context of the Big Brother Naija game, it was possible to identify patterns that would constitute a game.

“I don’t know if you understand me,” Keivo said, highlighting the difficulty of separating a housemate’s genuine personality from deliberate gameplay.

His comments have now added Aiko to the growing list of housemates suspected of being the Gambit, while raising questions about whether Aiko’s understated presence is indeed his natural personality or a carefully concealed strategy.

With the Gambit’s identity still generating speculation among the housemates, Keivo’s 70 per cent prediction would indeed excite everyone in the house by the time Aiko is eventually revealed to be the mystery player.
