Residents and traders in Pambegua, Kubau Local Government Area of Kaduna State, have commended Governor Uba Sani for facilitating the reconstruction of the Kwanar Zogale–Kasuwar Masara Road.

The commendation came as Farmtrac Nigeria Limited commenced work on the road.

The project, which links communities and markets in the area, is expected to ease the movement of people and agricultural produce while boosting commercial activities in Pambegua and other parts of Kubau.

Residents and traders who witnessed the commencement of the project expressed appreciation to the governor, describing the road as important to the socio-economic activities of the area.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony at Kwanar Zogale Junction, the Chairman of Pambegua Market, Nura Usman Tsabga, praised Governor Uba Sani for extending development projects to the area.

He described the governor’s intervention as significant to residents and traders who have long depended on the road for their daily activities.

Also speaking, a Yoruba market leader, Alhaji Wasiu Ajibola, commended the state government for the project and expressed confidence in the capacity of Farmtrac Nigeria Limited to deliver a quality road.

He said the completion of the project would improve transportation and facilitate the movement of farm produce to markets.

The APC Vice Chairman in Pambegua, Alhaji Sanusi Dahiru, also expressed support for the project and urged residents to cooperate with the contractor to ensure its successful completion.

Similarly, the leader of the Fried Fish Sellers in the area called on residents to protect the project and avoid activities capable of undermining its execution.

A member of the opposition in the local government, Mallam Shu’aibu Mai Addu’ah da Salati, also welcomed the project, describing the road as a major economic route.

He said it facilitates the transportation of agricultural produce from Kubau to other parts of the country and some West African countries.

“This road from Kwanar Zogale to the maize market is a project worthy of commendation by all and sundry. It is a major route that facilitates the movement of farm produce from this local government to all states of the federation and some West African countries,” he said.

Mai Addu’ah da Salati urged the contractor to ensure quality and timely execution of the project, saying its completion would bring significant economic benefits to the communities.

He also expressed confidence that the people of the area would reciprocate the governor’s intervention through their support for his administration.

The residents appealed to the road contractor to maintain the pace and quality of work, saying the completion of the road would improve access to markets, reduce transportation difficulties and strengthen agricultural commerce in the area.
