Ahead of the 2027 presidential election, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has criticized President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Atiku Abubakar of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for failing to attend the Peace Accord signing organized by the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) in Port Harcourt.
Theo Abu Agada, NDC’s Director of New Media and Strategic Communications, said Nigerians do not need leaders who are “too big to talk to them.”
He noted that only the NDC’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has consistently engaged with citizens and participated in key national events.Posting on X, Agada wrote:
“The presidential candidates of the APC and the ADC, President Bola Tinubu and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, were conspicuously absent from the Peace Accord signing and the NBA event in Port Harcourt.
"Only our candidate, His Excellency Mr Peter Obi, has been attending these important events. Nigerians do not need people who are too big to talk to them.”
Agada emphasized that Obi’s accessibility and willingness to interact with Nigerians set him apart from other contenders, reinforcing the NDC’s message of inclusive leadership.
